But Wait ... There's More!

I don’t watch much television. As a matter of fact, I only watch the Italian news channel when I go home after work, if my children have not already started watching a cartoon and hidden the remote control somewhere in the backyard so I cannot change the channel.
At times, though, I find myself fascinated by advertisements on TV. Some of them are funny, clever, and able to convince some people to buy products and services in just a few seconds. They can create a sense of need and persuade viewers that they cannot live without that clever can opener, knife sharpener, or super sticky glue.

As if that wasn’t enough, they can also create a sense of urgency and when you are about to give up on that amazing offer because you realize it’s a want more than a need, they make a proposition you cannot refuse. It usually starts with the sentence, “But wait … there’s more!” It continues with that bargain you absolutely cannot give up … “If you call in the next 15 minutes, we will double the offer and give you two knife sharpeners for the price of one and a purple lipstick!” How can you miss out on this amazing deal?

I am grateful because at A Chance In Life we don’t need to use gimmicks to convince donors like you that your contribution is making a long-lasting impact on the lives of the children in our Towns in Italy, Ethiopia and India. You give generously because you want to provide a chance in life to at-risk children, not because you get anything in return.

You also give because you trust our organization. You know (at least I hope you do!) that when you support a child through our sponsorship program with $30 per month, 100% of your donation goes to your child. We work with other donors to cover our administrative expenses and ensure every dollar given to the sponsorship program is put towards the well-being and education of the kids.

So thankfully we do not need to craft clever advertisements and give away lipstick to make a difference in young people’s lives. We just need to ask … Would you consider changing a life forever with only $30 per month? Click here and make it happen!

But wait, there’s more … Thank you for being as wonderful and generous as you are.

P.S. Have you seen my remote control around?
